** POLICY **

POLYTECH maintains the PAWS Discussion List as a service to the POLYTECH community.

The PAWS Discussion List is a "closed list," meaning that it is open only to the POLYTECH community. The PAWS Discussion List is an "unmoderated list," meaning that the program broadcasts messages to all current list subscribers with no editorial review of messages before they are sent. POLYTECH and PAWS do not verify the accuracy of submitted messages nor do they endorse the opinions expressed by message authors. Message authors are solely responsible for content of their messages. The use of the PAWS Discussion List is a privilege provided by POLYTECH. This privilege is subject to the terms and conditions contained in this message. ***Violation of this policy will result in immediate removal from the list*** Participants should remember that we are setting an example for the POLYTECH students through our discussions: * all messages should be worded thoughtfully and professionally * sign all postings with your name and email address.

* no messages are permitted that are libelous, invasive of another's privacy, harmful to minors, or otherwise objectionable

* no messages are permitted which discuss negative incidents listing individuals by name (student, teachers, administrators, parents, etc.).

PAWS members who would like to discuss a school policy in generic terms (no names) should contact the current PAWS President directly to frame the issue for public discussion. Names may be used in "praise" messages, such as announcement of student awards, Teacher of the Year, etc.
